Cleantech Park Arnhem proudly announces the appointment of Jet van Zwieten as its new director. Starting July 1, Jet will work alongside the team, park owner Schipper Bosch, tenants, educational institutions, and government bodies to further shape the future of the park. She succeeds Kevin Rijke, who is stepping down after 12.5 years of dedicated service.

The ambitions for the coming years include further (international) positioning of Cleantech Park Arnhem and the creation of an environment in which clean technologies for the energy transition and circular economy can thrive. Key focus areas also include the further development of the park into an attractive, green working environment and its integration with De Nieuwe Haven.

About Jet van Zwieten

Jet van Zwieten (born 1985) has dedicated her career to designing processes and collaborations that foster sustainable and social innovation. She combines strategy, entrepreneurship, and design to realize meaningful transitions and long-term impact.

After graduating cum laude from the Design Academy Eindhoven in 2009, Jet co-founded and directed Vechtclub XL from 2010 to 2017—a business hub and creative meeting place in Utrecht. Through an innovative approach to repurposing vacant real estate, the initiative grew into a vibrant community with over 140 tenants.

As an independent designer and co-founder of Foundation Projects, a circular design collective, she applied her expertise to public space interventions and the development of new business models. In Arnhem, for instance, she helped establish a meeting place that connected the energy transition at the neighborhood and housing level with social themes.

Since 2018, Jet has been affiliated with the Knowledge Center Future Urban Regions, where she conducted research into urban (eco)systems and new design methodologies for existing cities. This work culminated in the 2023 publication of the book The City as a System, which she co-authored. In 2024, she joined FABRICations, a design firm specializing in architecture, landscape, and urban planning, where she served as studio manager and business strategist.

Jet grew up in Amersfoort and has lived in Arnhem with her two daughters since 2017.
